of your Despatch No. 3 of the 2nd. January and to report that the consignments referred to by Mr. Sengpiel which were found to contain opium and morphia were intercepted and confiscated by this

Government.

Mr. Sengpiel is know to have been engaged for some time in the illicit importation of these drugs. On a previous occasion a consignment of wool cord despatched by him was found to contain opium and morphia and confiscated.
